It's better for the mother - women who breastfeed are less likely to get breast cancer later in life. It's better because the baby gets the mother's antibodies, protecting their brand new immune system and helping build it up. It's better nutrition - which changes over time to adapt to the baby's needs. So, what are your views? And by bottle-feeding, I mean formula milk, not breast milk in a bottle. ![]() And of course, I mothers should be able to breastfeed in public. As for cross-feeding and wet nursing, I say go for it! Its how it was done before the invention of formula milk. I believe that all babies should be breast fed into late toddler hood, and longer if the mother and baby are both comfortable with it. ![]() I am pro-breast feeding by the way, which means that I believe that ALL babies should be breast fed, unless the mother is physically unable too. ![]() Here are some questions to think about.Ģ) Were you breast or bottle fed? What did you choose/will you choose for your children?ģ) What age do you think one should stop breastfeeding? 6 months? 1 year? 3 years? Or maybe 5?Ĥ) What about cross-feeding? Or wet nursing? Is that right or wrong?ĥ) Or how about breast-feeding in public? Should mothers be able to breastfeed in say, a resturant, or should they go into the bathroom? Okay, I feel very strongly about breastfeeding, and I was just wondering what everyone elses views were.
